David Beckham signs with LA Galaxy – jobs abroad

Ever get the feeling you’re in the wrong job?
Wouldn’t you like to earn $250 million for kicking a ball around a field? I know I would. But no ones going to be offering me that kind of money anytime soon for kicking a ball or anything else. But hey at least I can remain on home turf and don’t have to work abroad.
Mind you neither does David Bekham does he? He has his fingers in more pies than Billy Bunter (obese kid from Enid Blyton stories).
David Beckham’s career has had some highs and lows in the last couple of years, but he couldn’t be flying any higher now. His move to leave Real Madrid to sign with LA Galaxy for $1 million-a-week for 5yrs makes him the highest paid sportsman in MLS.
In addition to this he does rather well on the celebrity circuit. Among the Beckham’s closest friends are Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes. He and his wife Victoria (Posh Spice) are mixing with the major leagues now in more ways than one.
Everyone wants a piece of Beckham pie. David and Victoria Beckham are sought after by designers, fashion magazines, stylists, fitness promoters and more. There is even a line of aftershave and fragrances called David Beckham Instinct.
For anyone, getting a job abroad can be stressful but I guess that $250 milion deal softens the blow somewhat. With money like that the world becomes a smaller place as travelling back and forth to see family and friends is a norm rather than an extravagance.
