Halloween - Seasonal Jobs and Party Planning
October 29th, 2007
It’s that time of year again. The time when zombies, witches and ghouls roam our streets, knocking on doors and asking for money or treats – or else!
Yes Halloween is almost here, October 31st and the shops are already full of decorations, costumes and Halloween themed party kits.
Did you know that Halloween is now a reported $7 billion dollar industry and grows every year! This of course means that jobs in the industry grow every year all be it many of them temporary and seasonal jobs. Extra sales people are needed in costume shops and major department stores to cope with the increase in trade at that time.
I must confess to having spent a fair bit on Halloween myself last year and seem set to repeat it this year with another ghoulish Halloween party for 5yr olds! There is only so much scaring they can take at that age and still enjoy it, so it’s a delicate balance. For details of how you can throw a Halloween party check out :Halloween Party.
I shall be helping the Halloween industry grow again this year no doubt!
You too could jump on the Halloween party bandwaggon, and set up your own business doing party planning or supplying themed party kits.
If you are artistic you could also try your hand at making Halloween Masks as a business venture, though you’d need to weigh up the cost of materials, marketing and labour time to ensure it was a cost effective venture. For more details on how to make Halloween masks visit:Halloween masks.
Meanwhile if you want to find out more about all kinds of seasonal and temporary jobs visit ’seasonal jobs’.

The Halloween business as well as all the other holidays are fairly good select businesses to be in. I say select businesses because they are only seasonal jobs. For instance, you only need help for the Halloween season for as long as you rent a space for a Halloween store. I have seen this happen many times. Halloween is actually a very profitable business because the supermarkets benefit as well as restaurants and various other businesses that fall under Halloween.
