Training
You need a degree, diploma or certification to work as a valuer. Registration with the relevant Valuation Institute in your country is required. The valuer must also be registered with the Estate Agency Affairs Board of the country and become a member of the valuer organization of the country. A related qualification in surveying is also recognized. Business valuers normally have a certificate, diploma or degree in a business related field. The Valuation Institute of in each country offers courses for qualification in this field.

Financial institutions, estate agencies, investors, surveying companies, local authorities and central governments make use of valuers. Auctioneers and large construction firms also employ valuers.
