6 Math Careers for Math Majors

Math careers can include some quite unexpected, unique roles. Technology has contributed to a resurgent demand for mathematicians, which is translating into career opportunities across a broad spectrum of industries and professions.

The very large spread of possible career options is somewhat different in mathematics from the career situation in other sciences. Mathematics is a broad spectrum science, and its career applications are literally everywhere. 6. Education: The demand for mathematicians is also driving a major requirement at all levels of education for trainers. The bar is progressively rising for advanced trainers in particular. One of the ironies of the big increase in need for mathematicians is that the demand is taking people from the vital training roles in large numbers.
