Are skills or interests more important in choosing a career?
When choosing a career, your skills and interests are equally important. Most of us want to apply our skills directly to a job. For example, a talent for fixing a car may be a big factor when you are choosing a career. In fact, both your skills and your interests can be categorized in the same way that careers can be categorized. For example, an interest in completing math puzzles can indicate that you are "conventional" and will do well in a highly-organized job, such as accounting and bookkeeping.
