They develop manuals for end users and technicians to understand software, hardware and information systems applications, including safety regulations, maintenance manuals, reports and sales guides. They work in close relation with developers, technicians, publishers and marketing personnel.

Qualifications
Although no formal education is required, most of the technical writers have a computer or business related background. A thorough knowledge of the product or topic is required and good writing skills.
