What are the requirements for getting a CPA license?

The advised method for earning a CPA license is first to attend a regionally accredited university or business school to earn a four-year college degree in business accounting. Once this is achieved, the graduate can apply to a regional board of accountancy to sit for the four-part exam. Once this exam is passed and the applicant has met the requirements of the board, then the CPA license is granted. In many cases, certified public accountants go on to practice accounting in private firms or for public finance companies.
