What is a typical workday like in a flight nurse job?
When working in a flight nurse job, you will spend a good portion of your time up in the air. Some flight nurses work in a helicopter, airlifting patients out of dangerous situations. Other flight nurses work on commercial airlines and help sick patients travel. The majority of your job will involve assisting patients who are in critical situations. Once the helicopter or airplane lands, the flight nurse will have to provide medical care on the ground and help patients get loaded onto the vehicle. The nurse also has to help keep detailed records of the patients for when they are transferred to a medical facility.
