- Show respect for your boss. Never criticize him or her.

- Your degree can only take so far. Don't stagnate.
- Use every opportunity to study and get training through your company.
- Attend workshops, seminars and in-house training programs.
- Read about management, office administration and your industry.
- Build your skills.
