What are good reasons to ask your employer for a job transfer?

There are a number of good reasons to ask for a job transfer, but you must do so delicately and with professionalism. If you are moving or desire to move to an area that has another branch of the company, requesting a job transfer makes sense. If you have an interest in another department and have the experience or education to back it up, you may have good reason to ask for a job transfer, but be aware that your request may not be granted. Do not threaten to quit your job if you can not have a transfer, as sometimes a transfer is unfeasible.
