I am not sure if this will helpful, but this could be a start:
http://www.cvtips.com/profile_for_international_job_candidate.html
I would guess that what would make a person successful at their job in their native country would be the same thing in an international job, exception being that a good grasp of language/communication skills would be a must. Also, awareness of culture is important. If you are doing well after obtaining employment, the last thing would be to make a mistake and offend someone unknowingly. The more experience, the better, I think.
Good luck! |

Thank you for your advice!! In my country, many people prefered to hire female to do this kind of job because it needs more paper work. Also, women are more famalir with English than men. Sex is also a factor when companies are going to recuit employees.
I think communication skills are really important, especially persuasive skills. |

Stan,
no company is going to leave its international department on one's hands if that one is not a master of interpersonal communication. And this includes all the things lexa has mentioned. From mastering the language and culture of your potential clients to mastering your persuasive skills (especially in slaes, you gotta convince by everything and leave no room for doubts from their part). Look at the politicians or at their staff. Wars have begun from mistakes done regarding cultural customs and not only ) |
