i've only been working at my present job for a month and i lost my form of transportation. i live about 20 miles from work and have no way of getting to work. would that qualify me for uc? i live in ca

Since cali has such good transportation and carpooling, it might not. You would have to check with your UC office to find out for sure, or maybe check online on the website to see what info you can find out.
