I am looking for a good resume builder, they seem quite pricey and not sure if they are worth the $$$.

Does anyone have any recommendations on this ?

Hi, there's loads of good advice on here. Read around and you should be able to find enough tips to help you build your ideal resume. There is no magic formula, nobody knows exactly what works but there's no substitute for experience and everyone on here has had plenty of that.

I would NEVER recommend using a resume builder. Do you want your resume to look like all of the others out there? NO !!

Be unique. Create a resume that is all about you. Nothing fancy, but certainly not a template.

Deb is absolutely right, don't pay good money for a template that may be wholly unsuitable. You may be after several different jobs and you'll want to tailor your resume for each one. A template won't do that so you'll be back to square one again.

Use the advice pages on this site and you won't go far wrong.

A resume builder will build you a resume that looks like it was made by a piece of software. You will do better to write it yourself or have a professional write it for you.

Another great place to make a free resume (especially if you are a teen) is http://myfirstpaycheck.com/resume/index.html

One good resource for finding sample resumes is at www.sample-resumes.net

Check it out and you might not need a resume builder.

A resume is a one of a kind document, but don't be dissuaded from using a resume builder, since the best ones are highly flexible.

You can find a list of resume builders, along with prices, features and reviews of each, at http://www.TopResumeBuilders.com

Good luck,
