i have been put on a disciplinary for misuse of credit card and alleged theft of cash. I work in a hotel as a night manager as one of my staff could not check in a i guest i have done it for him. I have use his id as he was still login the hotel has fund out that that the payment was allowed off and another credit card was charge. Now i am on disciplinary on monday. What should i do ?

Just tell the truth about what you did and see what comes of it. Sounds like you were trying to help both the employee and the guest and simply made a mistake. I don't think you should get fired, maybe at most a warning or something. These things happen; it's when they become habit that there is a problem.

Okay, I can be really obtuse about some things and this is one of them....

I don't understand what "misuse of credit card" means. Sounds like you paid for the room using your card or some such. All I can think of is this: Why in the hell does the company care where the money came from (as long as it wasn't a "company account" and that doesn't seem to be the case)?

I'm just onfused on this one.......

my company care as the cash money is missing. They have cctv footage of me taking the money and given the change to the guest. After that the cash money was allowed off and another credit card was charge. As well i have use someone elses id as they could check in the guest read above about it. I still dont know what to say to them.
