hey. obviously im new to these forums. naturally im here because im seeking advice in the realm of jobs. im 25, i live in the midwest, and its been one disappointment after another trying to find a new job. ive been basically stuck in fast food since i was 16, and i want out.
ive tried many different places.. had interviews, second interviews, the whole bit.. but still nothing. i really dont even know where to begin.. i guess im not the most "professional" guy out there, but i do my job, and i think i do it pretty damn well.
ive been at my current job for two years, which proves that i can hold a job. i have been told numerous times that im very good with my customers.
one specific problem i keep running into is "lack of experience", and this prompts the age old question: if you dont hire me, how the hell am i supposed to get any experience?
i guess i've typed a novel out here so ill save some more for later posts. thanks for any input you all have, and hello Very Happy

One way to get job experiences though not always fun, is thru a temp agency. Or by just applying for different jobs and hoping someone will take a chance on you.

Yes, that is frustrating. I get that too and I get mad. It's like 'make up your mind!'

ive actually tried temp work before..
the problem with that is that they only ever seem to have industrial/factory/warehouse type jobs available.. and that type of work isnt for me.
im a creative oriented kind of guy.. artistic and all that. but im stuck in an area which is focused on stuff like industry, medical, sales, or food. i want to get out of these "get by" jobs, but i dont know how. ive been trying college, but it seems like all they want me to do is take tons of classes that hold no appeal for me, or that i will never need.
im just really at freaking wits end.. im not a "professional" type of guy.. i dont like kissing ass to supervisors or interviewers. im casual, and honest. so how the hell does that type of person get anywhere in this job market of people who will sell their souls just to get the crappiest job?
