human=animal

Striking an animal is wrong and I do not feel bad for this woman hitting you. You are worried about a bruise on your arm and you and your colleagues hit animals? What a horrible bunch of people! I do not know of anyone in the veterninary medicine practice who would condone abusing an animal in this way for any reason.
