If you are looking for some international jobs do you need some special resume or you can make up a classic resume for the job?
Is there something intitled international resume?
Do you have to translate your resume in several languages?English isn't enough?

Of course you need a special kind of resume...preferably one which is unanimously accepted by any country (I.e. the European curriculum vitae for the European countries). But this is not all... You should have it TRANSLATED in the language of the country you are applying...nobody is obliged to know English if they don't want to, right?

And to make it even more clear, here's this article: http://www.cvtips.com/international_resume.html

...if you haven't read it already Smile

Thanks for advice and the link to the international resume.
One thing I don't understand in the international work market. How come if I have the same qualification and education like you,you are better paid then me because you are a resident of that country?

That and other factors:

- you don't pay any taxes towards my country
- you come from a less developped country and are ready yourself to work for less (in order to be sure you get the job, don't deny this cause you know I'm right Smile )
- I might even have three quarters of your education, this doesn't matter cause your education/degrees might not be recognized by my country, so....to them you might even be not qualified from this point of view
- you're at the beginning so no experience and no history to gather Euros for your salary (I'm refering to compensations etc)
- my country has salary related obligations towards me, as resident, but not towards you, as immigrant (meaning I will not accept a weekly salary under 900Euros, but the employer will not offer you a weekly salary bigger than 300Euros...he doesn't quite care).

Last but not least....YOU MUST NEGOTIATE YOUR VALUE. Meaning if you show them you are good and make them believe they really need you, they will accept your offer. My opinion is that you show yourself willing to make compromises, this is why employers take advantage of this think. They'd be stupid not to ... Smile

Lo, boy do I like the answer above. I'n not being rude or somthing cause I have friends in Romania, I even had a training session in a hospital in Bucharest. But this person is so right. And my friends in there have the same opinion. Sure, we can't generalize the situation but still...

Smile speaking of integration and all, you all should have watched the news one or two days ago. The prospectives aren't that smooth and easy for the Romanians....At all. In fact....we can all travel without a visa but when it comes to working...only countries like Cehia, Poland, Slovakia and another one around there will open the door without any conditions. The rest have placed aither the condition of working permits (meaning almost the same as up to now), or 7 years permanent ban for Romanian workers (the UK for example)...that's not nice Very Happy

I don't have nothing against these countries who aren't helping us.It's their choice to not help us and they do that because they are affraid that an invasion of workers will happen to them and the people from their country will be unemployed because romanians work for less money.

I have something against countries like these and this is materialized in their being ignorant. I believe they import all the brain power (you all know what I mean) from all small countries, especially Romania, but they close the doors to all other people who maybe want to work. Excuse me.....how many foreigners work in Romania....if you didn't know, A LOT OF THEM. And who asks them what questions and who interdicts them what exactly?
The problem of criminality exists and will ever exist. But this is why the interdiction on the passport appears and all sorts of other individual interdictions. Why should a country be punished because some individuals in that country have managed to enter a Eu country and do some bad things.
As a journalist I'm going abroad quite often and I'm tired of being given the face "Oh, you're from Romania". "Yes, right from where Penicilin was invented, remember? You're flying on propulsion because of Romania, remember? Your bank systems and IT companies are sustained by Romanians as well, remember?"
Maybe my arguments aren't the best given, but still....crime exists everywhere and bares no nationality etiquette.

That's also because of the media, who shows everyday only bad things about Romania.Every day at the news there are shown crimes, murders etc, why doesn't media shows the good part of Romania?Because of rating, you'll say,so the answer for our situation in his hands like your's sweet, because you are the new breed of journalist and you should change things in the brench.
