You have the job interview, how you dress can send a lot of information to the potential employer about you. Your appearance is important, it is part of the first impression you make to the potential employer before you even say a word. Put your best foot forward and make a good first impression.
Plan ahead when choosing your outfit. Different industries require different dress codes. Find out what the dress code is at the company where you will be interviewing. It is hard to overdress but it will be obvious to the employer if you are underdressed.
Here are some items that may seem obvious but are sometimes overlooked.
1. Clean/ironed/coordinated clothes
2. Clean dress shoes
3. Groomed hair
4. Clean hands/fingernails
When choosing your attire, choose something that is comfortable to wear. You want to be relaxed in your interview and there is nothing worse that a shirt or shoes that don’t fit right. Keep your attire conservative and don’t wear something that will distract from what you are saying.
Remember to dress for success and put your best foot forward.

Haha...it is practically impossible for me not to dress right when going to work cause my boss is coming every morning and looks at me and asks me: "Wow, what pair pf trousers. Where did you get it? I like it!" LOL
And so on and so on...I feel like it is compulsory to come right...meaning what if she comes the next day and she finds me dressed unproperly...she will have nothing else to admire, right? LOL |

That's hilarious, ank06! Dressing in a specific way in order not to dissapoint the boss...LOL....I'm always dressing in a mixture of casual and office. Pure office is too boring for me, as for my subordinates, they say I look "Bitchy" (sorry, this is the word) and mean so I try to soften the impression, you know what I mean?
Anyway....I dress quite formal but towards casual and I always use accessories, this being the ingredient which, I consider, makes me look different from other bosses.
I'm boss over 15 people and, together with 5 people, I'm a subordinate myself lol....Gotta please all of them  ) |
