Hey!
okay well christmas is coming up and i am visiting my dad for christmas!
of course last time i had christmas with him was..4 years ago and i was young enough for the good old 'rents to pay

HOWEVER..
im 15 now and everyone is saying im old enough to get a job but i dont know what to do!!!?!?!?

the argument that i keep on having with my mum is that she keeps on getting stuff for my sister but not me eg.clothes and stuff
but i need that too! my mum says that i get support from my dad and my sister doesnt but tbh i dont..he lives halfway across the world and the last time i got money was in may and it was for my birthday!!
i used to empty the dishwasher everyday and got around with getting a couple of squid but now my mum has gone all eco crazy (which is good) but it means no MONEY!! and the last money i earned was selling some of my stuff and now thats going rather quickly and i need so money soon!

so im stubbed, a few of my friends have jobs on a saturday and i was hoping that i would hopefully get a job off work experience but from none of my fault problems i lost my work experience place and only JUST managed to get another place in for work experience on time..and this other girl was working there..and i have to admit she did less than me and SHE was offered a job there and not me..im a bit gutted tbh but i shall live!

anyway can anybody help!?
i live in plymouth and would love to have a weekend job that wont take up too much time seeing as its GCSE year but still be able to get me money that i need.

my email adress is xxamy_slightxx@hotmail.co.uk
any advice will do!
sorry about the rant but i had to get it off my chest and havent said it to anyone!
oh and also..CV's..how do you write one?! i asked my mum and she gave me no help which is making me more angry with her cause she wont buy me stuff but wont help me get a job?!!?!

anyway ill shut up.

Bi x

You may be able to find work in a restaurant or store somewhere. Another option is babysitting, or takking care of animals, such as dog walking. Yard work or doing chores for other peopel can also bring money.

Babysitting

Bagging or stocking job at a local grocery store. Many grocers will hire baggers that are 15

They might be a little too young for a job but they might be able to work at a fast food restaurant (e.g. McDonald's or Chick-Fil-A).

If you are able to work and do not want to work at fast food restaurants, try motels, daycares and lawn services in your phone book.

Go to a neighbors house and ask if you can help around the house if you do a good job they will recommend you with friends but be courteous and friendly at all times! Smile

A little ice cream place.

I know that a son of a friend of mine, that was your age (15), put an ad in the little nickel paper (weekly ads) expressing his interest in earning monies. He received several responses from the ad.

Try looking at a simple, independent local store rather than a chain. When you turn 16 you will at least have some experience which is good.

A farm.

If you know computers you could try programming or being a Web developer, or you could do data processing.

I got a job in a pub in the kitchen when i was 14, washing up and things. Don't be scared to ask it doesn't get you anywhere!

Go to your school counselor and talk to them about a job your given application and you will receive back your choice of jobs

i am 15,, and looking for a job,, but you need a child employment licence form,, you can get one from your school, local council or go to:
www.oldham.gov.uk/child_employment_form.pdf
this is a true form. Smile
