Well I have 2 more years left in high school and I have no idea what career I want to pursue..

First I really wanted in the Video Gaming Industry but I realized I don't really want that due to the skills it requires like programming and what not.

Now I'm lost and have no idea what I want to pursue, when people and friends ask me what I want to be I have nothing to say and I don't want that.

I might like some type of office work but I don't know..

ANY suggestions? HELP Sad Crying or Very sad

First look at subjects you enjoy, then add in subjects you do well in. Try to look for any patterns that might emerge. Once you notice a pattern take a look at what jobs may incorporate this. Are you planning on going into college or a trade school? Many times when you get into a deeper study of something you begin to enjoy it, where previously you despised it.

Well, for what it's worth, you're not supposed to know "what you want to be when you grow up". You're supposed to be, well, you know, having fun and living, not fretting about careers. Yes, I know that the world won't be happy until every damned one of us is chained to some lame-assed job or "career," almost all of which are mind-numbing, soul-sucking exercises in exploitation rather than actual employment.

Believe it or not, life, the universe, God, whatever, has a most amazing way of intervening on our behalf and taking care of these details.

What I'd love to see and be part of is a world in which the question asked most often by young people is this:

"What do I need to do in order to be a better person, someone who will be remembered for acts of kindness and how he treated others?"

But for now? Oh no, it's all about labor and making money....Truly sad and pathetic......

You really WILL be all right in these matters so please don't waste all that energy.....

It's not that I'm money hungry or anything like that, not at all..

It's just that most people know what they want to be but I really don't have a clue and it's starting to bother me..
