As I understand it, "due process" isn't a selective process. Maybe this guy needs to put a band aid on his ego, but that applies to statutory processes, too, as far as I'm aware, even despite the possible effects on the fragile psyches of bureaucrats. Regs are regs, and UC should know that better than anyone.
Unless there's some other obscure regulatory provision about times to lodge, they're obviously out of line. Impressive to see them machine gunning themselves in the foot, but to take advantage of this situation, still suggest a chat with a lawyer. |
