just to add, to whats already written, having an aol email address is acceptable for a job seeker, or similar email, if its an email address of an existing company like kate@bigcompany.com it does not look good for job hunting purposes. Just shows the candidate is using her companies email account to pursue her career

Oh, definitely typed!

No one is obliged to take time to read your handwritting, especially if you have problems with that. A typed email has a more professional look and the impact may be immediate. Papers often get lost, because people are busy, especially in comapnies, and move a lot.
