You need to be very cautious when selecting a resume writing service as anybody can put up a sign that they write resumes. In fact 1 company that secretly positions itself “#1” really sends the resumes abroad to be produced and produces very awful broken English resumes. Other companies providing resume help deliver nothing more than a prettier format of what you have.

1) Avoid resume writing service that say they partner with Monster, Career Builder or The Wall Street Journal. 6) Ask about the price. Yes, the price is important but not as important as getting a resume that works. The difference between a mediocre resume and a great one can be as little as $100 (the cost of a dinner out). This is one of the most important documents in your career, so it makes sense to spend what it takes to get a resume that you know will work.

We get a lot of people looking for help writing their CVs and resumes, as well as those with real problems, everyone from professionals with multiple degrees to people at entry level trying to figure out how to get started.

One criticism: Some of the examples and sample materials on this site seem a bit dated, citing dates like 2004, 1997, etc. This may just mean you've been writing resumes for a while, but some of our younger members were in primary school then. Suggest updates.

Members: The links posted above relate to Online Resume Writing, a company which has all its conditions upfront, and which for once has a very easy to read fee structure with conditions spelled out.

I think it's a good idea to research your options for a resume writer before choosing one. There are many people on-line who write resumes and some are clearly better than others. Contact the writer and make sure you have a good rapport before turning over your money.
