To the guy who was asing about male chatline work - it doesnt exist as far as i know.for the reason that most women would never pay to chat to men,not being funny but its true! the rare times Ive heard about a man doing chatline work is when they can sound convincingly like a womans voice. none of the chatlines I know about hire men sorry.

Sorry about the edit, but we try to avoid posting direct contacts. Every now and then a few slip through, but there's a risk of abuse. It's rare, but it does happen, so we delete direct emails and other contacts.

The chat lines are supposed to post their own contacts, preferably with a site, so you guys can see who and what you're dealing with. It's a bit safer all round, and we've got minors on the site we're trying to discourage from posting personal contacts for obvious reasons.

If you search chat lines using the Google search box top right, you'll find the current stuff. This thread started in 2006, from memory.

Sorry about the edit, but we try to prevent any nasties for our members. Doesn't happen often, but it does happen, and I'm guessing you don't need that right at the moment.

We shut down the chat line threads on this site a month or so ago, see gdudak's post on this subject:

http://www.cvtips.com/career_advice_forum/no-more-quotchat-line-quot-or-quotadult-quot-posts-vt10362.html

You can find these gigs with a simple search, but from experience, look out, particularly on the subject of payment. We found the whole thing pretty tacky, which is why we decided "no more". There were some operators who were OK, but in general, sleazy, unreliable, and the wrong part of town.

If you're checking out work at home jobs in general, they do exist, and they're getting much more common, but you need to be patient and check them out thoroughly. Look for proven paying jobs, and stay well clear of anything which requires an upfront payment.

Depending on your area of expertise, you can find work in that field on a telecommuting basis. The advantage is that you know the stuff, and can be better informed about bona fide employers, etc.

Speaking of employers, some are OK with telecommuting for "regular" jobs, too, so shop around in your own area for these gigs.

Hope that helps,
