I also had a problem like that. What I did was I changed my character reference...because I felt that my other superior would be more "effective" as a reference person. Now, I have a work in a similar company but it is nearer my home.

What a wonderful post by randy. I really liked it where he said that all that employers know is to lie. This is so true. they keep lying to poor employees, keep giving them hope and in the end once their job is done they will not even care for you. very few ethical employers exist which maintain complete transparency with the employee.
