I accepted a job, recently, that is not the job I signed up for. I want to leave it and am searching for a new job. Do I put this job on my resume? If not, should I just come up with an excuse for not working for the past couple of months? I did leave my last job voluntarily, but just so I can have this new job. Any advice??????

If you have accepted the job and you have signed a contract for it, then it is considered part of your job history and it is advisable to place it in your cv. I don't see what the real problem with mentioning you have worked somewhere for only two months is . There are so many ways, smart ways to motivate your choices that you'd be surprised. Just say the job didn't fit you well and you wanted to move up towards something better paid and in an environment in which you ware given the opportunity of promoting faster. That's it. Why worry about the past?

The answer Safri gave you is best. Even if you do not like the job that you are currently in, there might be something useful that could help you in obtaining employment at another place. List the company and position, and wait for the interviewer to ask for more specifics. When this happens, say that you are not currently happy/satisfied and would like a job with a different tone to it [like the one you are interviewing for Smile ]

It doesn't matter you've worked there for only two months, it doesn't matter the domain in which the job was placed has nothing to do with your "qualifications" (the only way to gain qualification is by job prestation, right?), it doesn't matter you didn't like it. What matters the most is one thing called....transferable skill. Meaning you have learned something during this period, something which will be useful later on (lexa Very Happy who knows?). So mention it without a problem. Reasons for leaving can be found anywhere Very Happy Pertinent too Smile)

if you left on good terms, then you should list any job experience you have had, it will help you more then anything, but of course if you left on bad terms, then i would not state the job in your resume. Wink
