I left a job in August due to differences with a service tech. Quite honestly, I don't know what the issue was that the service tech had with me - this was never explained to me in order to resolve the issue. The service tech was making it extremely difficult to do my job in that he would not complete his tickets properly, wouldn't tell me how he completed the job, refused to speak with me. The owner of the company happened to be a very good friend of his which did not help the situation at all. Its rather difficult for an owner to manage his employees when he is good friends with them. I exhausted all available resources to resolve the issue but to no avail. I finally had enough and decided to move on (rather abruptly) and seek a more positive envirnoment to work in. I know its not proper etiquette to insult or bad mouth a former employer but this situation ALWAYS seems to be an issue in that I am viewed as THE individual who had issues and difficulty communicating with the workplace bully. When approached with the question of why I left, I am not sure what the best answer to this question would be. Is honesty always the best policy? Your feedback, negative and positive is appreciated. Thanks so much!

Don't worry....practically impossible to get a negative answer to this Smile

Ok...this situation is encountered quite often I must say, especially nowadays, when people at work like to play bullies and stuff. You are right when mentioning the fact that by no means are you to badmouth your previous employer. As a matter of fact, you should be as short and concise as possible when asking "why have you left the previous job?" question and state reasonable motifs. Don't get into details and especially do not complain, because the prospective employer often tends to identify himself with the previous one.
