Even thought the job market is really hard and salaries are relatively low, I have taken the plunge and moved to a small town. Fortunately I have been able to acquire a job with a telecommuting supporting company. This naturally helps in that my paid wages are based on the location of my employer.
But with all good things there is always something that can be improved. Recently I have been communicating with another company who makes a rather significant package. The appeal is great since most of what they offer is the very thing that is lacking from my current employer.
My decision is leaning towards accepting this company’s offer. The problem lies not in my giving notice, but in the obvious fact that there will be a gap when I leave. I can be seen as selfish but I really want the notice giving aspect of leaving to be easier on me, if such a thing is possible. So basically what I need to know how can I make things easier on me? |

The way you can de-burden your conscious is by simply giving your notice and moving on.
It seems that you want to make a mole out of an ant hill. Changing jobs to improve your own life is not a problem, and you shouldnt feel like you owe the compnay anything.
When you were with them you provided the service that they needed, so you did your part now move on and let go. Life goes on as the cliche saying goes. |

| Once you get the job offer in writing from the new company, give your cuurret employer sufficient notice & offer to train a replacement & if the ask you why you are leaving, be honest with them. |
