What are some of the most highest paying jobs you can think of that involve a yearly cash salary. Obviously CEO's of companies make millions each year in stock options and other perks, but I'm talking about a realalistic job that anyone could obtain if they had the skills. That means no athletics or movie stars or celebrities either, I'm not talking about jobs that are 9-5 (or close to it) and offer a large paycheck. Not doing any research I would probably say the three top in my head would be a doctor, a lawyer, and a stock broker. According to some research, in 2001, doctors earned an average of $150,000 a year, lawyers $100,000, and stock brokers $84,000. All not bad salaries if you ask me. Also on the list which surprised me was pilots at $134,000, engineers at $112,000, and dentists at $90,000. Any other thoughts about this idea???

| I found a helpful website www.dol.gov and click the link on the left for the Occupational outlook handbook and it has a zillion different careers along with high and low pay scale, occupational outlook and what type of training/ecucation you would need. |

| I can tell you of 2 good ones respiratory therapist and nurses. They earn almost the same but the smart way to go is respiratory therapist. The potential is there to make 6 digit figures. You make what you want. I can tell you this from experience I'm a respiratory therapist. I made 132,000 last year. I could've made more but it's not easy. It's only a 2 year degree also. Takes 1 year for pre requisites then you're on your way to making good money. Pay ranges from 20 per hour to 44 depending on where you're at. good luck |

Radiologic Technologists that specialize in ct scanning, mri or special procedures can easily earn over 100k yr. also. Nuclear Medicine Technologists and Ultrasound Techs as well. Some Radiology Techs are making 125-150k a year when they work for registries and take alot of call (standby). |
