I saw an ad for a post with a company that I’ve always wanted to work for. They offer very good conditions and good salaries. I know I'm overqualified but still want the job. They are asking for a person with only some experience in the field and I have a masters degree plus good experience. I wish there could be some way how I could mention in the cover letter that I know I am overqualified but do not want them to turn me down because of this. I want to say that I really want the job and won’t be using there recourses and then find somewhere else. However I do not know how to put this nicely without jeopardizing my position. Any help.###

if you're overqualified and think this might prevent you from being called for an interview, the first thing to do is to re-write your resume in such a way in which you smoothen the effect of over qualification.

Also, if being called for the interview (and I think you will, if you do the things suggested), you should also adapt your discourse during the interview. You should explain to them that you really need and like the job and ensure them of your fidelity.

Don't state that you are overqualified in your cover letter but do summarize your extensive education with a few brief snetences somewhere in the cover letter. Some cover letter advice for you:
