Age: 27 year old Male 5'7

disabilities: type 2 diabetes, pinch nerve in back ( could get taken care of if had insurance). hard for me to use back too much.

Liabilities: not a whole lot of driving experience just got a license ~2 yrs ago. Had passing out/seizure episodes preventing me from driving. That's also part of why i didn't rush into jobs right out of b/c most of those jobs were in albany/nyc.

I have tried the bus systems since moving to Albany I've come to the conclusion that it is not very good. It's either get to work 1 hour early or take a chance having the first bus be late getting to the second bus for what ever reason and being a 1/2 hour late to work.

personal strength's/skills/interests: customer service, math, business decisions/strategy, decent with computer (word/excell/access/etc.). some knowledge in web making/java script. I like finding ways to make business run more efficiently/profitable.

For education:

Bachelor's of science degree in Management Science: Information Systems - received May 2005 (4 yrs old almost 5). I originally went in for Accounting.

GPA: not so good 2.24 overall 2.41 in major. I was helping my family out too much at our pizza shop.

5 yrs of college

^that's parts probably way too old to matter.

Work experience:
1/2 year as a carnie/dishwasher 99'/00' $5/hr
then

~ 9 years at family owned pizza shop. cook/server/mgr 01'/09' $/5 hr
then moved to Albany, Ny area (current residence).

~1 month CSM at Walmart aug 09 - sept 09' $11.2/hr (resigned to due to not enough hours plus recieved full time job offer at CVS)

1/2 month Shift Supervisor CVS sept 09'/oct 09' $9/hr (resigned due to not being able to handle overnights (i'm diabetic, messing with sleep cycles is not good) and i was offered the job for $10/hr not $9).

~1 month Subway associate $7.5/hr (resigned due to not enough/reliable hours one week 24 hrs next 15 hrs, and once again i was told 8 and close to 40 hrs.) I was bringing home about a $100 /wk.

currently unemployed.

To sum it up:

I feel my degree education is outdated/too old companies are hiring ppl fresh out of college and for other companies they don't wanna hire me b/c they feel they will have to pay me more b/c of the degree. Then add in the crap economy plus the worker to job ratio.

As exciting as retail/restaurant jobs are I would like something I can make a career out of. I'm 27 not getting younger and I would like something i could support a family off of if need be. At the same time I'm also single so i can't have something that takes up all of my free time otherwise there will be no time to find spouse to make said family (which is basically what CVS would have been like).

I guess the moral of the story is that i'm tired of getting jobs that didn't require going to school for 4/5 yrs and taking out 20-30k in school loans.

That was a good story. Useful information has been shared. Thanks for providing such useful information. The post seems to be very informative one. It will be useful for the readers. By the way recently i attended Cloud Computing Conference (http://cloudslam10.com) it is the 2nd annual virtual conference. The conference is about the latest trends and changes in the cloud computing world. It is more useful for the IT and computing professional.
