Hi all,
I spent about four months trying to get an internship but I managed to find one last week!
I found a really good website called eagerintern.com which my friend told me about. They helped her get an internship and she is useless! (lol). I got some good ideas on how to present myself and look more professional and and also to make an internship resume to prove how serious I was to companys. They were in email contact with me and they were always there with questions I had, and I emailed them every other day. The best thing was even though I was looking and ringing round companies myself they had clients who had already asked them to find interns. Not just in the big cities like LA and NY either, I live in the ATL and I had a choice of three companies!
I am interning with a medical hygenist now and I am loving it, I get a lot of practical experience and it may even lead to something permanent but they can't promise anything. I would rather be doing some work, even interning than checking my emails and texts at the mall. The site is eagerintern.com and I hope they can help other people as much as they helped me. :D
