help-BI vs Developer

Hi All,
I need a little advice here as I'm very confused. I have done a Sun certification in JAVA but I have landed a job as a Microsoft Business Intelligence Consultant.
I am confused ---is it a good career choice to be a BI consultant or should I be a Developer....which has better chances of professional growth.

I think consulting work is more lucrative and has more potential for further growth. Are you still employed in this position? Are you enjoying the work?
