I have a BS in chemistry (GPA 2.99) and working in the environmental industry, more specifically the laboratory. It doesn't pay and I want to move to another job more suitable for my strengths. I have been searching for a job in the enviro industry however, all the consulting firms / arctic north slope companies are hiring engineers or 5+ yrs experience. I have 1 yr experience.
After much consideration I want to go back to school for a civil engineering degree and then a MS in environmental engineering. While going to school I would continue working at the lab gaining work experience. Then move to an engineering job and have much more satisfaction.
Any thoughts on a 2nd undergrad degree?
