I have recently accepted a job offer from a company and am a little worried about background checks.

While I was a student I had a part time job that I didn't include on my CV as I left shortly after starting. I had another job at the time which I did include so there is not a gap in my employment history.

Will the other job I had at the same time show up on a background check if there is no gap in my employment history at that time?

Do large companies always perform these checks?

Depends on the type of background check the company conducts and how extensive it is. It could, and I guess there is realy not a good reason to exclude anything, as it is better to be honest than lie and take your chances. Only you can decide if it is really worth the risk.
