I have interviewed with a company 3 times, 1st with the recruiter, 2ndly with the person who has the specific opening and 3rdly with the person in charge of the human resources. I was told during the 2nd interview with the manager that she would bring her decision down to 2 candidates possibly and then have a 3rd person interview the last 2 candidates so that a decision could be made.. That final interview was last Wed. April 2 does anybody have any advice to when i actually call back for a decision. I am a bit anxious because I truly want this specific job but i dont want to put them off by being overly eager...

I think it would not hurt to call and thank them for the interview, or at least send a thank you letter. Properly done, you should have sent a written thank you immediately after the interview. This serves a dual purpose in making you look courteous and in getting your name out there one last time.

I fortunately have sent thank you letters on all interview levels including the 3rd one, which by the way had to go a bit long distance because the last interviewer had to either drive or fly to attend that interview as he was based out of another city. With the last thank you i went to the post office and guaranteed a next day delivery so that hopefully it would either beat him back to his office or be there as soon as he returned...I think i am so anxious because i interviewed with the true decision maker(i thought) a few weeks back.. I dont know if that started the tickng clock or if the last interview with the 3rd interviewer began the clock for the call back..I know their training begins on the 3rd week of the month and that is coming soon. I know that in my previous position we could not offer a position until the backround check returns...which thankfully i am good..anyways this is a bit nerve wrecking..I am still interviewing for other positions but i think this is making an impact on how i respond in other interviews..

Well, maybe you should call then, and just check. It might ease your mind.

Just try to be as courteous and polite as possible, of course, especially if the person is busy. And I would just do one call.

I think that you should wait for a while...Sometimes over eagerness works against you...Why taking a gamble....
