I know I am probably just going to drive myself crazy, but that's what I do.

I had an interview last Thursday at a credit union. I had another interview about a month earlier for another position. This time the interview was with different people. There were two involved. The HR & the department head. The interview felt like it went well, even before the interview another person I had my first interview with came out and crossed her fingers for me (I am not sure what that really meant, but I took it as she thinks I would be a good fit for the company). They talked about how the things I talked about were what they were looking for etc.
She even asked if I would need to put in two weeks and mentioned salary.
I left with a smile and a handshake. They told me they would get back to me some time this week about a decision (pointing to Wednesday & Thursday on the calendar). Any clues... also.... Is it appropriate to call and ask why you didn't get a job when the reason they give you is "they decided to go another route?" or decline you with a response like that.

Thanks!
