Having interviewed a lot of people, one question we always asked people was "Did you have any great ideas in your past jobs?"
This is not a trick question. We were looking for persistence, and for action.
The worst answer you can give is to say a had a great idea to do blah blah but you thought the company would not implement it. In other words, you invented an excuse as to why you should not put up a suggestion. Remember, in an interview for a job or promotion, you can easilly look inept if you give the wrong answer. And the upshot is that you do not get the job or the promotion.
