i am pursuing phamracy academics but i donot want to work in a retail pharmacy mixing, compunding and dispatching drugs.
i want to work for a huge pharmaceutical company in its research and development area experimenting and discovering drugs.
what kind of academic path leads to such a job and are there any books on the subject out there. |

I don't think it is so much the path as a good internship that might lead you into that area. If you check with differnet companies about internships, they have ones in that area and if you do well they can keep you as an employee.
This might help you out with the intern thing, but also check with your career center at school. They should have some information for you or at least be able to push you in the right direction.

You can either choose an internship with a company of the specific profile, or you can try medicine itself (I'm speaking about the uni here) and choose your profile while having courses.
If you are already studying in this domain, then apply directly to the companies, but not after you try first to become a volunteer in there....the road should be: volunteer - apprentice - assistant - researcher.
I'm sure you get my point |
