I tend to become very nervous during interviews. And nervousness equates to blabbering too much. I've got a big interview next week (wish me luck) and I've been surfing nonstop to gather tips. Here are a few more interview tips that I stumbled upon the internet.. http://www.integritycareertransitions.com/blog/

Good luck with your interview!

You'll find a lot of the tips you need right here. Check out our new Interview Questions and Answers articles. We've done a bit of work defining the issues created by the interview questions, and giving examples of answers meeting job criteria. We do an analysis of the content of the answers.

The idea is to explore interview answering structures, and give good, integrated answers to the tough questions.

Stick to the basics, like giving clear answers, and using the story telling approach, setting scenes for the interviewers so they can follow your answers.

Interview nerves are very beatable.

You've got the interview, you know your stuff. You do know what you're talking about. You do have the experience. You're not going to be out of your depth.

Treat the interview exactly as you would talking to someone on the job, which is, really, what you're doing.

You're quite right about talking too much. Staying alert, and keeping an eye on your interview answers is the name of the game. You can give basic answers, then ask the interviewers if they need more.

Wow! Thank you everyone for sharing this useful information.

Many people dream of joining the police force in the area they live in. Joining the police force is not the easiest thing in the world. There are strict guidelines that you need to adhere to before you can be recruited. For you to become a police officer, you need to have discipline and dedication to the cause. Even before you go for an interview make sure you are the type of individual who does everything in a disciplined way. The main thing that you should include in your police application is the level of discipline that you have.

A police interview can be a very complicated affair if you do not prepare yourself well as far as the structures of the forces are concerned. Some of the questions may be out of your ranks and some officers may want to catch you off guard, with questions such as why you want to be a policeman. You are advised to be always alert and sharp all times so as to come up with quick and clear answers. Communication will always be tested as it is important. You may need good communication skills in the process to boost your chances of success. You should be confident always and this can be elaborated by asking clarification on matters that you may not be clear with. You should not be easily intimidated since the job will include meeting and dealing with people of different characters. As a prospective police officer, you must dress in smart outfits and have confidence to match with it.

Hi,

The role of a police officer is now seen as one of the top jobs due to the fantastic career opportunities, the break from the 9-5 routine, the security one the job, the specialist options and the pay and pension options. All of these makes this a job that many people dream of becoming.
