|
|
This thread is for the under 18s to express their situations, and tell members what they need.
It’s not an advertising thread, and any ads may be deleted without notice.
We expect employers to understand the sensitivities related to this age group, and to behave accordingly. Advertisers should thoroughly check the Forum threads regarding posting any materials on CV Tips. There are sticky polls stating site policy on the appropriate threads.
We don’t mind job hunting suggestions. We do mind when people don’t pay attention to the large amounts of information we have on this site about what’s considered appropriate and what isn’t, and what goes on which threads.
It is not appropriate to post jobs or job offers which:
Are for adults only
Involve use of credit cards or other over 18 payment methods
Relate to any inappropriate work for minors
Are misleading in any way
Contain offensive materials
Don’t contain verifiable information to check out an employer
Don’t comply with labor laws and laws relating to minors
Employers may respond to posts on the Under 18s thread from people seeking work. Genuine responses to posts and employers with bona fide jobs are welcome to post their contact details and relevant information about jobs. These must be verifiable, so our members can check out employers and make sure they’re who and what they say they are.
Anyone responding to posts on the under 18s thread should note that we take care to emphasize compliance with labor laws, and other laws applicable to minors. Any posts on this thread which are considered inappropriate, or unsuitable under employment law for this age group, will be deleted without notice. Offenders may also be banned without notice.
US posters
US posters in particular should note that Federal and state laws prohibit a range of jobs to minors. It is possible that inappropriate job offers may constitute an offence, if in breach of these laws.
Important: CV Tips reserves all rights to take any action considered necessary to deal with posts which do not comply with both site guidelines and relevant laws, and will act in strict compliance with applicable laws. |
