Hello!
I'm a croatian girl looking for a job. As Croatia is not a EU member, we have many limitations on this continent. And, of course, we have many limitations in the rest of the world...
I have studied humanities in Italy but I'm willing to do every kind of work, to move everywhere on this planet and now I'm asking for any kind of advice.
If there's anyone in my similar situation I'd like to ask him how he resolved this problem?
One more question: before I move far away from home how can I be sure that this job is real and serious and not something illegal? Sicurity and legality is very important to me.
Than you all and good luck to everybody!
Smile

Yep....I can tell you about my experience two years ago, when Romania wasn't a part of the UE (we are now, thank God!). The way I left (to England, London more specific) was via au pair and the legacy and security of the job were ensured by the company I have appealed to. BUT. Legacy was ok.....security not really, because I had to leave my job after a week (internal problems...what the family has declared wasn't the truth). What I did was not to come back crying, but to open a bank account and get to some teaching courses. This ensured my being there as a student, I got a working permit which lasted 1 year. In the meantime, I also got a job (part time, because being a student I couldn't have a full time one.....but the trth is actually had 2 partimers Smile ) After 1 year I got back to renew my visa, I got the papers from my college in which they were certifying I was a student, so Romania gave me the visa again. I have finished the course and got a job as an English teacher.

Well, going to foreign countries with a student visa is what I did when I came to Italy and sometimes I think I should do it again, maybe in another country, but it costs too much for me.
Now I'm still in Italy as a student, I graduated recently and I'm looking for a job but without any luck so far. Reason: beeing a citizen of a non EU country! (the procedure to obtain a wok permit is complicated and you never know if you will obtain it anyway)
Sometimes I think if EU closed its doors, maybe I should try in some other continents. But how? I mean, I can't fly around the globe just for an interview that might have a negative end. And I can't even fly to many countries without a visa! Confused
