I didn't realize meeting quotas was that difficult and sometimes stressful. I know I am still new, so I shouldn't put so much pressure on myself, but I can't help it when I feel a little disappointed if I failed to meet my daily quota.

Anyone here have a job where they must meet a daily, monthly, or yearly quota? How do you handle the stress? How did you perform during the first few months?

I don't want to give up as it's only been 1.5 weeks or so. Yesterday I was 1 away from my quota and today I got ZERO. Anyways, just looking for some advice.

I like the job where I work now and hope I can really succeed.

Quotas are really a form of time management, unless you're doing sales.

The trick to quotas is scheduling.

1. Set realistic targets and stay on your schedule.
2. Get rid of the stuff you can do immediately ASAP.

There's nothing wrong with putting pressure on yourself, as long as it's rational and serves some useful purpose. It's like training. You'll find as you get better at your job you're more surprised at not getting things done.
