Hello
I would like to ask you a few questions. If I am asked at an interview
How can I motivate other team members? What would be your answer?
And also How can you manage workload (both own and that of others)?
Thank you very much for quick answer.
With regards
Viktoria

Viktoria,

Welcome to CVTips - I'm sure you'll find this a useful place.

First of all, what kind of team will you be managing if you get this job? Your answer would depend largely on this, so a bit more information would help the rest of us give you some decent advice.

In general, I'd say offering incentives would be important. They could be anything from a star on the work station of the person who produced the most sales each week/month, to a trip to a theme park if the team comes out as the most productive team at the end of the year. People like something to 'go for'.

Hope that's been of some help, but as I said, give us a few more details and I'm sure others will come up with ideas, too.

Carole

I remember one time I was at an interview and there were two questions that I had trouble answering:

"If you see another team member slacking off or not pulling their weight, how do you handle that situation?"
"What would you do if you saw your immediate supervisor doing something illegal, unethical, or against stated company policy?"

What do others on this board think?
What's the best way to field these questions?

[quote="James"TODAY i JUST HAD AN INTERVIEW AND THIS QUESTION WAS ASKED .
I HAVE THE SAME QUESTION BELOW BUT NOT FROM A MANAGER'S PERSPECTIVE BUT FROM A CO-WORKER PERSPECTIVE. I FEEL THAT Ii MAY HAVE ANSWERED THIS QUESTION INCORRECTLY BECAUSE I WAS THINKING OF IT AS A SUPERVISOR AS OPPOSED TO A CO-W0RKER . MY RESPONSE WAS "this employee has a supervisor and it is not my place to confront the person on their work ethics. I then said that I would need to make sure I was doing all i needed to be doing in my role as a Case Manager and not be concerned with what my neighbor was doing. Do you think that I answered this question correctly? I think I should have answered it in a more positive way indicating I would ask my co-worker if they needed my help as a teammember as oppose to just owrrying about my self. HELP I NEED SOME ADVICE ON THIS ONE BECAUSE I THINK I MAY HAVE BLEW IT.
