Hi everyone, thanks for taking the time to read this.
I've been working in my job for over 7 months now, and I've never enjoyed a job more. I went to university in September last year but quickly found that it wasn't for me, so I decided it was time to find a job I like, and work hard at it. So here I am, working in a well known record store (I know it sounds lame, but I've researched the career opportunities, and I believe I could go somewhere in the company). At first, I was a christmas temp, and after 2 and a half months I was kept on and given extra responsibilities. One of my supervisors will soon be stepping down due to medical reasons and I would like to apply for the position when it becomes available, but there are obviously other candidates for the job. I am basically writing to see if anyone could offer me any advice on how to stand out as the best applicant, and if there are any skills/qualities I should be displaying in order to secure the position. Apologies for the long, drawn out story!
Thanks in advance!

You definitely want to exhibit any leadership skills you can between now and then. as well as making sure you point them out when signing up to be considered for the position. You may also try to find out what technical skills are involved in the other job role and do what you can to learn important skills that match what the role will require. This may require learning some on your own time.

Thanks for your feedback. I'll do my best to research these skills and hopefully develop them.
Anymore feedback would be greatly appreciated!
