First off any interviewer that ask you this question, tells you that they have no experience or skills in their field, and are opening themselves up to EEOC violations, but don't point that out unless you know what you're talking about.
Second, you're on the right track with your answers.
Here a sample answer I would give, short, to the point, and no personal information revealed.
I'm certified in (blank) and have obtained my associates in (blank, or other fields of experience) and am looking for an opportunity for growth and development.
Nothing more, stay away from cliches such as I'm a hard worker, let your letters of recommendation or work (portfolio) do the talking. |

Hi
You are think along the right lines with those answers.
One key thing in to underpin each statement with an example. For example anyone can say that that are a "team player" what you need to do is give an example of when you have successfully worked in a team (outline your contribution etc). If you can give a clear, to the point example to backup what you are saying about yourself, it will give you more credibility.
Good luck with your interview. |
