How do you handle be unemployed and the idle time between interviews without going crazy from bordom especially this time of year before the holidays. Are there a lot more job offering in jan .
I have worked the last 14 yrs straight without being unemployed, but unemployed since oct 2007. So far no temp work came but I did and 2 permanent offers that were terrible jobs to accept (low salary or unacceptable wokr). Would you any job even if you did not like or try to hold out a bit longer. I am in my 50's so this is my last stand if you would like to call it. |

I think if you get to a point where you are needing a job badly then it is necessary. Even if you take a job for a short while and continue to look for something else, there is nothing wrong with this.
I don't think you should let age deter you. There are plenty of people out there looking for jobs and who are working that are older than you are. This is not a big deal now, where it used to be.
