The reason i ask is because i have a job interview next week and if i get the job i might possibly be leaving the job again in around 5 months, but i would feel guilty doing it! However my last job was terrible and it didnt really matter if people left because it wouldnt really affect them due to the large size of the company but this new job is for a smaller company.

Do you view companies as faceless and/or do you care about how your decisions affect the company?

I know it's considered rude to answer a question with a question, but here goes:

When you applied for this job, did you see a "personnel" manager or a "human resource" manager?

After over fifty employers, I can name on one hand the ones that truly cared about their "employees". So based on my personal experience and observations (downsizing, moving overseas, etc), and after knowing and talking to thousands of other folks who've worked for hundred of other companies, my answer will forever remain the same (generally-speaking of course because none of this is about absolutes):

Employers suck and you own them absolutely nothing else other than performing the duties for which you were hired, period. Or put this way: You owe them the exact amount of care and concern for their "needs" as they do you and your life which is, in almost every case, zero. Or another way of saying the same thing: Stop letting them use your humanity against you when they care so little about us as people.....
