|
|
I rcvd an email stating that initially I qualified for the position I was applying for requesting that I answer some additional questions. One of the questions asked if I was willing to relocate (which I am so my answer will be yes). This question is followed by another sub- question of which I am unsure how to answer:
If yes, will you require relocation assistance from X-Corp?
Do companies eliminate candidates based on the fact that they will require help relocating?
Any advice on how to answer this is appreciated.
Thank you!! |

When the interviewer asks about your willingness to travel, it means that this position requires some travelling. If you say no, then you may not get hired because they are looking for someone who is able to travel.
It is perfectly acceptable to ask how much travel is involved.
You can say:
“I am completely mobile. Well I can go to any part of the country or even abroad if situation permits.”
“I know as an auditor that I’ll have to make business trips. So I’m definitely willing to travel.”
Or you can say
“I have no problems with travelling, actually I love travelling.”

Did you read my post? It mentioned nothing about traveling. It stated about relocating.
While I appreciate your efforts, "Traveling" with the position has nothing to do with my question.
The question is if I am willing to move (definition of relocation) then do I need any assistance (i.e. for the company to pay). |
