I have found a job through a recruiter, I tried moving the salary negotiation but the recruiter seems to want to do this and not let me negotiate !!!

I think I would do a much better job in negotiating the salary for myself I am not sure if he can legally do this, but i think i know the industry better and have very good knowledge of the employer .. so it is time for him to pack his bags and let me do my work.

I really want to negotiate the salary but not sure how

any advice ?

I guess it depends how strongly you feel about it:
1- A dramatic & risky move-If you are sure you can do a better job at negotiating than the recruiter, then tell him that you are not interested in proceeding with this employer, as you prefer to negotiate with the employer. Keep in mind that the contract between the employer & the recruiter may include negotiation by the recruiter!
2- A safer move- Let the recruiter do all the negotiations, then at the end if you are not happy with the package, you tell the recruiter that the package is not good enough for you & you want to negotiate more (either through the recruiter or directly).

It really depends on your circustances. Having a job already & if your position is in demand, you will be in a better position to negotiation. Also, most recruiters only get paid if you accept the job & actually work there for a certain period.
